Coldstart

Claude Code can be powerful and still become inconsistent across long or repeated work. Coldstart adds a local discipline layer that routes each task to focused guidance, preserves project context between sessions, and adapts the workflow to the person using it.

How it works

Coldstart installs into its own dedicated root rather than the Claude Code configuration directory. You then initialize the projects where you want it active. Its hooks and guidance are registered per project, keeping the installed machinery separate from the project being served.

The runtime uses Bash and Python 3.12+ with the standard library. It requires no product package install, datastore, or daemon.

Why it's different

Coldstart is a router, not a large instruction dump. Instead of loading an entire manual into every session, it selects the relevant discipline when the task matches. The result is a structured working layer around Claude Code without turning every project instruction file into a handbook.
