Press play once. Music for your whole stream. SAUND is a tiny native Windows
player built around one job most apps do badly: play local audio continuously
for hours without anyone touching it — gapless, crash-resistant, and light
enough to run next to your game and OBS. It doubles as a clean file manager for a
messy DJ library.

## What it does

- **Play once, run for hours** — a Rust audio engine queues the next track
before the current one ends, so playback is gapless across an entire stream,
unattended. Optional crossfade, repeat, and shuffle keep the set going.
- **Unattended-safe** — a bad or missing file is skipped and logged instead of
freezing; if the output device drops it's re-acquired; close it Friday and
reopen Saturday to the exact same queue, paused and ready.
- **A real file manager for DJs** — browse folder crates, move and import
tracks, delete safely to the Recycle Bin, find byte-for-byte duplicates, and
grade tracks with half-star ratings and rekordbox-style color labels.
- **Curation survives a rescan** — ratings, colors, and inline tag edits are
SAUND-owned, so a library rescan never wipes your work.

## Light, native, and yours

A native WASAPI engine idling around 12 MB and near-zero CPU, in shared mode so
your game, Discord, and OBS stay audible. A built-in 10-band EQ tunes the output
to your room. Fully offline — no subscription, no accounts, no telemetry — and it
ships bundled with royalty-safe music, so a streamer can play within seconds of
install with no DMCA risk.
