Life can get so busy that we forget to think about what’s really important. It’s easy to get caught up in routines, tasks, and distractions, forgetting to reflect on the things that really make a positive and meaningful difference in our lives.
In this blog, we’ll explore what holds significance, from timeless knowledge to relevant information which impacts our everyday life. Let’s change the way we think.
1. Religion
When compared to infinity, our lives are incredibly short. While we live for just a few decades, infinity goes on forever. If an infinite afterlife exists, such as heaven or hell, then the most important thing we must do is make sure that we go to heaven. Our life can end at any moment, so there is no question that this issue is a number one priority. Can you be certain that your religion is the correct one simply because it was passed down to you by parents? There are thousands of religions in the world, but only one can be correct. Make sure you get it right.
2. Critical thinking
With the constant flow of information from social media and news outlets it’s easy to be overwhelmed or misled by inaccurate or biased content. On the top of that, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has advanced to the point where it can produce highly convincing content (text, audio records, images, or videos) that is difficult to distinguish from genuine human-created media. It is getting progressively harder to determine what is real (or true) and what is fake (or a lie).
We need to learn how to evaluate information for ourselves. We need to know how to separate fact from fiction to make informed choices which affect our lives.
3. Health
Good physical and mental health allows us to work to learn. It prevents diseases, and thus gives you more time to do things that you enjoy, and also reduces healthcare costs.
Mainstream media teaches us that modern healthcare improves our life expectancy, and allows better quality of life. However, we can easily witness that majority of people are still frequently ill. Something doesn’t add up.
We need to distinguish between information that promotes better health and that which contributes to illness.
